Have you seen the Netflix original Ozark? Do you love the house as much as I do? The binge-worthy show is about a family man dealing with the bad consequences of seemingly good decisions. In business with the second largest drug cartel, his business partner decides to steal from them and ends up dead, leaving the debt in Martin’s hands. Dealing with inter-family issues, Marty uproots his family from Chicago, moves to Missouri and sets up a money laundering operation. The family moves out of Chicago and resettles on the shores of Lake of the Ozarks. They buy a house from a dying man on the condition that he can live in the basement until he dies, and Marty sets out to launder money with the locals.
The 70’s style A-frame house steals the show for me. It needs some TLC, but I’d take it in a heartbeat. Most of the scenes filmed inside the house take place at night and the lighting is bad. I tried to lighten them the best I could.
According to a reader from Carla Aston Design – the real house is located in Flowery Branch, GA.
There’s lots of windows looking out onto the lake.
The entry way has stone walls which match the fireplace.
Family photos hang everywhere making the houses feel more like their home.
Flashback of their original house, you can see they re-used the table and chairs.
Pretty stained glass window.
The same painting now hangs above their fireplace.
