Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are divorcing after two-and-a-half years of marriage and seven years together. The exes spent two years renovating their modern, minimalist home and decorated it together with help from designer Stephen Shadley. The collaboration was a struggle at first for Aniston, who had designed her previous home solo.
Aniston describes the centuries-spanning decor as “Old World meets New World,” a mix of hand-painted wallpaper and midcentury furniture, silk rugs and polished concrete, antique Japanese screens and Abstract Expressionist paintings.
The midcentury California home, was designed in 1965 by architect A. Quincy Jones. It’s set on sprawling grounds that were previously a vineyard.
The decor reminds me of Jennifer’s home in the movie Cake.
The master bedroom showcases earth tones and cozy carpeting.
The master bath features a customized marble tub with a view of the garden.
